![]() I found that mine were low and did not want to take a charge on the supplied charger for any length of time. Most NiMH batteries will lose their charge over time. Note in the packaging that even the wires and rubber band are secured. The canopy has a rubber band attached to close the hatch. The designers provide enough ESC lead to reach the outside of the canopy and once connected, also provide enough room under the canopy to get the wires and Tamiya connector in place. The battery compartment and servo trays. It remains secure with no need to do anything else, but close the lid and loop the rubber band closure around the nose. Installing the batteries requires you to first insert the battery down and against the servo tray, and then slide the battery down against the foam in the nose of the plane. Well, other than adding eight AA batteries and checking to make sure the control throws are correct there is nothing more needed. The horizontal stabilizer is held on with through bolts from the vertical stabilizer. All the linkages are set, and I found no need to change anything. Below are two plastic thumb screws that secure the tail section. The vertical stabilizer has two threaded rods that pass through the horizontal stabilizer. There is no glue required for the SkySeeker. Here you can see the P-factor adjustment. In addition, the motor has a metal mounting plate on the outside to help secure the motor into the plastic. You will note the motor is angled to the right for a pusher with a pretty severe compensation. The servos are mounted in a hard fiber plastic servo tray in the nose of the fuselage. The fuselage stores the 370 brushed motor in the pod as well as the ESC and the receiver. The motor pods stand above the fuselage.Add the black contrasting decals, and you have a very attractive plane. The yellow coloration is bright and clear. It is not a lightly molded material, but thick enough to provide rigidity and strength. ![]() The fuselage is polypropylene plastic that is extremely tough. The wing saddle is very sturdy and accepts the wing with no rocking or instability. I found it is easier to affix each side band first, then the crossing bands. Note the reinforcing tape on the bottom of the wing. The wings have some dihedral, and the outer portion of the wing is tipped up creating a very stable lifting surface, but not too stable so you can do some loops and turn sharply. The leading edge has fiber tape for reinforcement as does the bottom. The wing is very rigid and covered with a material resistant to scrapes and cuts. The wing attaches with rubber bands supplied in the kit. Be sure as soon as you get the plane you charge the batteries my guess is the 40 minutes it takes to charge the 600 mAh NiMH will be about how long it takes to build the SkySeeker! I otherwords, be prepared to start flying soon after you receive your SkySeeker. The tail feathers are pre-installed and all you have to do is attach the wing, and install the battery. If you have a transmitter and receiver, you can eliminate just those items, and the price is reduced accordingly. They also let you select any option to build a package that is just right for your needs. And if you ask, will make sure your next plane is setup to match your transmitter from a previous purchase. Not too many manufacturers take the time, effort and expense to include two of everything. Unlike many kits, here you get two of everything. You will be able to store the plane and without taking too much room take it with you wherever you go. I loved the detail of the foam molding that was used for packaging. The packaging is durable and protects everything.Everything, and I mean everything, is wire tied down so it stays put through handling and sorting. Mine arrived well packaged in along rectangular box. The electronics are simple, and the transmitter is the perfect combination for flyers just wanting to have some fun. The all plastic body with molded and covered wings are durable. It is docile, but can do a few maneuvers and glide all day. This is a great little everyday flyer with some personality. Most of their planes support the growth of the hobby by being well designed and flyable for a large segment of the market. ![]() I have reviewed the T-Hawk and the Thunderbat XL, and the Sky Seeker is certainly a great aircraft in their line up too. Readytoflyfun distributes some great airplanes.
